This post is just an archive for the four drabbles I wrote for the recent The Good, The Bad, and The Oz Drabble Tree at

Seamus threw his shoulder into the door, and it finally burst open.
"Welcome to your new home, boys."
Ryan and Cyril stepped inside and cautiously investigated their surroundings. The house was small, old and run-down, and it smelled weird.
Ryan and Cyril exchanged looks and turned toward their mother. Her tight, nervous smile served as a warning.
"Start bringin' in boxes, boys," Seamus instructed. "O'Malley needs his truck soon."
When they were safely outside, Cyril muttered, "What a dump."
Ryan nodded his head in agreement. "When I grow up, I'm moving far away from here," he proclaimed.
"Can I come with you?" Cyril quietly asked,
Ryan smiled. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Keller rubbed the back of his head and winced.
O'Reily just laughed. "You’re damn lucky you didn’t die, or end up in a wheelchair. What the fuck were you thinkin'?"
"I wasn’t thinkin' anything. Beecher pushed me."
"Bullshit. I saw his expression afterwards."
The hint of a smile crept across Keller's face.
"What're you gonna do when he gets out of the hole?"
"Win him back."
O'Reily snorted. "Good luck with that."
After a moment, Keller mumbled, "Maybe I could use some help."
O'Reily studied him. "You got a plan?"
Eyes sparkling, Keller leaned forward. "I always got a plan."

Word Count: 115
Chris picked up the old tintype photograph. He studied the middle-aged man with a devilish scowl glaring back at him.
"That was your great-great-grandpappy August," his mother explained. "He was a farmer and slave-catcher down in Georgia."
Young Chris was intrigued. "He captured slaves? How?"
"Family legend has it that he’d pretend to aid their escape, then turn them in for the reward."
"He tricked them?"
"He had his reasons. He adored his wife, but she was crazy. He needed to pay for her institutionalization."
Telling lies and manipulating others, just so that he could protect his love for a psycho?
Chris smiled. Actually, August sounded like a great role model.

"LeeEEEeee! Baby!… Guess we’re playin’ phone tag… I was outside when you called, weeding my Astroturf… So, you finally watched my Actors’ Studio interview?... I thought it went well… though I wish we’d spent more time talkin' about Oz, or Underground, or fuck, even Dinosaurs, and less about SVU… [sighs]… It is what it is… Hey, I’ll be at the lakehouse in a few weeks, after the kids get outta school… We can get together, maybe do some, uhhhh, waterskiing or… [laughs]… whatever… I’m sure we'll come up with something… [laughs harder]… Yeah, I’ll be in touch… Love you. Tah."

Date: 2016-06-16 07:31 pm (UTC)Yours were great, too. I especially liked the Homicide crossover... it was an interesting change of pace from the usual SVU crossovers!
