PaLEEyFest, Part Two!
Oct. 24th, 2017 10:10 amWARNING! Even longer than Part One and with twice the squee!
LeeFest After-Party
After the PaleyFest event ended, I made my way to the lobby outside the auditorium, meeting back up with my husband and the other Lee peeps. There I introduced myself to Anne, who had arrived after I'd moved down closer to the stage.
And before I get any further, I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Anne, since none of the following would've been possible if not for her, her relationship with Lee, and her generosity and willingness to share him with other fans. For Lee had invited us, through her, to the reunion "after-party" that was being held at the Fig & Olive restaurant just down the street from the Paley Center.

PaLEEyFest, Part One!
Oct. 19th, 2017 12:54 pmWow, what a weekend!
PaLEEyFest was an awesome experience I’ll never forget!
WARNING! This recap is ridiculously long and includes an overabundance of details. Sorry in advance if it bores you! But I wanted to document the Oz reunion and the LeeFest and the associated happenings in my own way, so I can remember and reflect on all the amazing and fun and silly stuff for years and years to come!
I’m breaking it all down into 3 sections: the build-up, the actual PaleyFest Oz reunion, and the LeeFest after-party. I’m posting the first 2 sections now, with the events of LeeFest (which is when things got so AMAZINGLY AWESOME that I am still SQUEEING AND FLAILING at this very moment) to come later.

LeeFest 2017, The Do-Over
Oct. 12th, 2017 01:12 pmSO!
As you may remember, this summer I had planned to see Lee (& Dean & Tom) perform in a stage reading of Tom's play at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, alongside some other Lee Peeps. But then, at essentially the last minute, Lee had to drop out of the event, LeeFest was canceled, and I was basically devastated.
But then! Last month, the Paley Center for Media announced that they were going to hold an Oz reunion! With Lee & Dean & Tom! And Terry & Edie & Eamonn & muMs! A panel discussion and audience Q&A! In New York City! Which is a place that neither me nor my husband have ever been to and always wanted to go!
Sounds like fate, amiright?
So, tomorrow morning, my husband and I are flying to NYC for a fun-filled, touristy weekend, culminating in the PalyeFest Oz reunion on Sunday evening. Also attending the PaleyFest event are
tobyfan,
shabby86, and
miltil (the same group of women who had planned to attend WTF), as well as a fifth woman who's attended LeeFests in previous years (
discreetmadchen?). And then, if things go according to plan (which they don't always do, mind you, so I will try to keep calm until it actually, physically happens), we'll be hanging out with Lee afterwards.
YOU GUYS I'M GOING TO MEET LEE TERGESEN ♥
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
(so much for keeping calm)
I'll try to take lots of pictures, and take lots of notes, and not make a fool of myself, because this reunion thing by itself should be totally awesome, regardless of what happens afterwards.
ZOMG
