Yesterday, I sent a frivolous tweet and twitpic to Margaret Cho and her podcast partner Jim Short concerning Lee's legendary Metal Rules magazine interview from 2001 after listening to the three of them discussing the issue in her latest podcast. Lee must have seen it after Margaret and Jim both retweeted it. (Margaret even tweeted me back, asking me how I'd gotten a copy of the magazine!)
The thing is, I'm kind of the last person who risks putting themselves out there like this. I wrote and cancelled that tweet at least five times before I worked up the courage to say what-the-hell and send it. I was worried they wouldn't get the joke, or they'd think it was dumb, or offensive, and that's if they even bothered to read it at all. I was mostly relieved when Margaret Cho seemed to get a kick out of it, so then Lee retweeting it sort of pushed me over the fangirl edge. ;-)
