Yeah, I ended up seeing Dr Strange on DVD. That was the point where I officially decided I have reached my lifetime limit on movies where an over-privileged white guy gets away with treatng everyone around him like shit because he's super-smart, and when he is faced with the consequences of his own assholeness, we're supposed to be touched by his self-pity (instead of pitying all the people he's treated like shit) and cheer for him to become super-extra over-privileged.
Robert Downey Jnr has the incredible charisma that makes me guiltily like his character even as I rant about what a terrible person he is. Cumberbatch may be a great Sherlock, but he doesn't have that.
I went back and watched most of the way through after seeing Endgame, and was delighted by how many little details and one-liners I'd forgotten about had been reflected in Endgame.
No surprise in loving Thaw. He's awesome. Hemsworth is fabulous. Ragnarok was one of the best movies of the whole franchise. I really don't know what it is that doesn't have me interested in Thor fic. Maybe because I find it hard to imagine how he'd be anything but a perfect lover, and I'd rather read/write the fucked up ones.
