The amount of LJ Armageddon panics which amounted to nothing that I have lived through... I've lost count. It was pure stubbornness that made me resist every mass exodus, plus the wealth of history I have here (2006 was about a century ago in Internet years), but this time I'm being forced to crack open the DW account I've never used in order to keep following a couple of my communities that are moving over there.
However, I too loathe change, and will cling to this place for the memories, and for this new generation of Oz fans that has sprung up where almost all of the old-timers have disappeared (BTW, I have to give a lot of credit for that to you personally, as we'd reached the point where the Oz fandom was just about dead, when you came along and breathed some much needed life back into it - there may only be a handful of you 'Next Gens' as I think of you, but you've really made such a difference to the atmosphere around LJ - thank you). So I'll get set up over on DW (once I stop procrastinating about it), but I'll stay here too, for as long as I possibly can :-)
