You didn't miss much in Doctor Strange, IMO. It was all right, but certainly not one of the better Marvel movies. I normally love Tilda Swinton, and I found her more grating than BC in that movie.

A couple of days before I saw Endgame, I just happened to catch the first Captain America movie on TV, and I loved it. And of course, I'm so glad I saw it beforehand, because that ending scene in Endgame with him dancing with Agent Carter wouldn't have had the impact otherwise. That's really what sent me on my mission to do the complete watch--I wondered what else there was in the movie that I might not have picked up on. (Not to mention some really the basic stuff. I remember when Robert Redford showed up, and I was like, "waaaaiiit a minute, who's he? Is he supposed to be a good guy or bad?")

To my own surprise, my favorite character is ... Thor. I think it's partly because I always have the feeling that Chris Hemsworth is playing the role with a wink-and-a-nudge, and that appeals to me. (Also, he's hot. LOL) And then that's what made Thor's breakdown in Endgame, when he's suffering from PTSD, so moving and powerful. It was a genius way to flesh out the character, and I thought Hemsworth played it perfectly. I love that they had him taking off with Quill at the end. That's a pairing that I might get behind.
