A personal post!

So, I don't usually post personal things here, but I'm so proud I could burst and thought I'd share!

Today, my oldest child graduated from Michigan State University (a semester ahead of schedule!) with a BA in Criminal Justice (shout-out to suespur!). Here's a photo of us taken on campus after the ceremony (the hockey arena and football stadium can be seen in the background).



Next stop: law school! (Exactly where still to be determined; hopefully it's someplace that offers him a good scholarship. LOL)

In general news, I've been super-busy being super-creative, and I am having a ton of fun with it, but I haven't had much time to check into LJ! Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holiday season! ♥

Yes, I got my degree from Ferris. I call it "My degree in 'any' major." I went back to school for it when I was cough*forty*cough. All of the half-decent job postings always say "bachelor in any major". Ferris offered it through distance learning at Lansing CC and I thought it sounded interesting. I regret not getting it from MSU, but I ultimately chose Ferris/LCC because parking downtown is easier than parking at MSU and the tuition was cheaper!

And I work in insurance. LOL. I thought about trying to get into the DOC but man, the people who have been in it forever are not happy people. I didn't want to risk becoming that.
