I love ice skating in the wintertime, because it's a good way to get outside and get some exercise and fresh air. I'll never understand the appeal of skating indoors (unless it's to play hockey, I guess).

I hope you don't mind that in my mind, Chris will truly learn to appreciate the sport in a later chapter when he cuts someone's throat with the blade.

LOL, go right ahead. Great minds obviously think alike, because I once wrote an Oz fic where McManus holds a hockey tournament in Oz (based on wonderful prompt by cmk418), and it basically ended when Wangler did exactly that to Pancamo. ;)
