"at the beginning I thought you'd written something funny and light"
Yeah, the story originally started out that way, as an attempt to make myself feel better about that absurd book, and some parts still have that tone. But as my writing of the story evolved, I was often so annoyed at Simon, I think I felt the need to subconsciously "punish" him (LOL), and that eventually wove its way into the plot. I know humor and angst can be an awkward combination, but I hoped it would be OK as long as Ryan was the hero in the end. :)

Thanks for the encouragement! As matter of fact, I was in the middle of writing another story, one that was coming along quite nicely, when this whole biography thing happened, and it kinda of killed my muse. Perhaps it's time to revisit it....
